Seasonal crafting event inspires Marietta artists

The spooky season is quickly approaching in Marietta, and area creatives looking for a way to indulge in the atmosphere will have a unique opportunity to look forward to.

The Sugar Skull Lamp Ceramic Workshop, presented by Gearhart Design Company, has opened registration to interested parties who want to celebrate the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) through a creative outlet. Attendees will receive instructions from an experienced artist on painting ceramic sugar skulls to take home and add to the decor.

The skulls measure 6.25” by 5.75”, making them an ideal addition for autumn or Dia de los Muertos decor at home or in the office. Participants will have access to acrylic paint and sealant to ensure the paint does not run. No kiln will be required for this fun art project. Flyer printing is an excellent promotional tool when generating excitement and awareness of such events in the community.

Queso (cheese) and chips will be available to guests throughout the painting event. Seats are limited at the host venue, so interested parties are encouraged to make reservations while they last.

Set up to be an ideal event for both experienced artists and beginners, this seasonal painting opportunity will be held at 3 Amigos Mexican Bar and Grill in Marietta on Sunday, October 5 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Tickets are available online for $45.
