Atlanta Braves fans, families and friends will be putting on their running shoes and heading for SunTrust Park for the inaugural 3K Stadium Fun Run later this month
The event will offer a friendly 3K walk or run and a Kids’ Dash, which will take place out on the field. The Dash will be for children under eight years old, and the little runners will receive T-Shirts.
The 3K course will take the participants from the infield’s home plate, along its main concourse, across the ramps and onto different tiers of the stadium. The run will end when the warning track is reached.
Those running the 3K course will get free T-shirts sporting the event’s graphic design and tickets to the game on September 21.
The field concourse will hold a party after everyone has finished the race. This will include plenty of music, prizes, and food options.
Event tickets will be $39 for the 3K, T-shirts,and upper level game tickets; $49 for tickets that include the run, T-shirt and lower level game tickets; and $10 for the Kids’ Dash.
Proceeds from the walk will go to the Lymphoma Society Atlanta’s Team in Training and to the SagerStrong Foundation – an organization that supports and funds blood cancer research.
The Stadium Fun Run will be Sunday, August 25 at SunTrust Park, 755 Battery Avenue Southeast, Atlanta, starting at 8:00 am.
