The final spring Open House and Event Rental Expo will be coming later in March.
This free expo will be a chance for anyone who will be planning a social soiree, wedding, birthday, conference, or other event to meet party suppliers and view a local event facility all under one roof.
The event will actually have three parts. The first will be the vendor showcase and open house, which will run the whole time. Guests will meet local caterers, photographers and florists.
Some vendors will be Miss Mamie’s, Catered Southern Events, The Marietta Local, Hadley Photography, K Mike Whittle, and Gabriels Restaurant & Bakery. Local Print shops may also be available to order announcements, Menus, and Invitations. Guests will be taking tours through the venue’s four event spaces.
During the first hour, the venue’s Ron Carter will be playing the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ - a Renaissance organ that has been rebuilt into a first class digital computer organ. The 1920s Wurlitzer theatre organ replica has been custom-voiced especially for this site’s auditorium. With all its special effects, such as whistles, car horns, thunder, and gun shots, this man and instrument becomes a one-man band.
The last performance of the evening will be Coast Guard presenting a one-hour live concert in the auditorium.
The Event Rental Expo & Open House will be March 28 from 6:00 until 9:30 pm at Strand Marietta, 117 North Park Square NE.
