The Empty Bowls movement gives the public the chance to lend a hand with community feeding programs in their own home area, and Plant City is one of the cities that will be taking part.
The 14th annual Empty Bowls fundraising lunch will be set up at Robert A. Willaford Railroad Museum and McCall Park, and everyone is encouraged to get involved. Admission is $10, and area eateries and artisans will be lending their talents to the occasion.
Attendees will be served a hearty lunch of soup, and the container will be a handcrafted bowl. There will also be a variety of handmade ceramics on the auction block, and while everyone enjoys the food, fun, and time with friends, they will be helping to fill the shelves at food pantries operated by United Food Bank and Services.
A creative fundraising event may attract a lot of attention, which can be helpful in ensuring it meets its financial goals. Specialized decor and marketing materials that catch the public's eye can be ordered from Print shops.
Plant City’s Empty Bowls event has been planned for Saturday, November 9, and it will begin at 10:00 am. Silvia Dodson, who is the organization’s UFB Board Member & Empty Bowls Committee Chair, can be reached by email at silviaadodson@gmail.com.
