Plant City area activity expo offered to special needs families

For Plant City families with a special needs child, finding activities for after school, summer, and other breaks can sometimes be a challenge. Attending an event on the way to the local area can help them explore the options available to their son or daughter, and it is open to anyone who feels they may benefit from attending.

A wide range of activities, programs, and services will be showcased during the Out of School Time Resource Fair, and these will range from respite care to karate lessons. Two breakout sessions have also been tentatively scheduled for the morning, and anyone who would like to find out which topics will be discussed or has other questions about the event is asked to contact fdlrsparentservices@sdhc.k12.fl.us.

With everything from sports to tutoring, dance classes, art lessons and after school care providers being represented in the show, it is expected to draw quite a crowd. Local business or organizations that provide activity options for special needs kids are welcome to book a table space for the function, and a banner printing company will be able to supply attention-grabbing signage and other items they can include in their display during this sort of function.

This opportunity for families to explore their options when it comes to activities for their child is being offered courtesy of Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Parent Services. The plan is for it to be held in Armwood High School on February 2.
