Anderson, a civics teacher at Indian Trails Middle School has, due to her husband’s military service, had the opportunity to teach in schools in North Carolina, Ohio, and New York before arriving in Flagler County. The school’s civics and social studies department lead, she has been at the school for 10 of her 16 years as a teacher.
Schools with the help of banner printing services seize every opportunity to advertise any awards their students, teachers, or employees receive due to their association with the school.
Martz, the Flagler Schools Employee of the Year, works as the in-school suspension monitor at Wadsworth Elementary School. According to Amy Neuenfeldt, her principal, Martz was a volunteer for several years before being employed a year and a half ago. Neuenfeldt went on to say:
“She is amazing. She works with some of our most difficult children with a smile on her face every day.”
This year’s gala took place at the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center and its theme was “Mission: Flagler Forward, The Stars of Flagler Schools.”
Anderson and Martz will each represent the Flagler School District at the upcoming Florida Department of Education state competition.
