Seniors in Palm Coast have a chance to obtain both health and financial wellness information when a local non-profit presents a free event tailored to senior lifestyles and needs.
AdventHealth and Kool 100.9 FM have teamed up to present the Senior Health & Wellness EXPO, scheduled for late August. Some of the free activities for attendees include blood sugar screening, screenings for hearing and vision, and limited free medical testing. A representative from Edward Jones will also be on hand to provide information regarding preplanning for final expenses, a financial wellness check, Medicare and insurance information, and other resources of interest to seniors. Hosts will also supply Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and doughnuts while supplies last, and a “cash grab” will be available for the first 50 attendees that arrive. According to its website, AdventHealth consists of over 100,000 skilled medical providers in hospitals, private clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies. It operates throughout nine states, with a focus on holistic healthcare tailored for each individual.
The Senior Health & Wellness EXPO will be on Friday, August 22, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It will be held at the Palm Coast Community Center, located at 305 Palm Coast Parkway Northeast. Admission is free, and information will be presented on a no-obligation basis.
