The Flagler Auditorium presents Always… Patsy Cline in early 2023.
Perhaps the most well-known female country singer in the history of music, Patsy Cline was born Virginia Patterson Hensley in 1932. Throughout her eight-year recording career, Cline scored several significant hits and inspired scores of singers, including Loretta Lynn, Trisha Yearwood, K. D. Lang, and Wynonna Judd. She gained a reputation for her distinctive sobbing approach and flawless vocal skills.
Always… Patsy Cline is based on the real-life friendship between Cline and Louise Seger. They met at a show in 1961 and remained friends until Patsy’s untimely death just two years later. The play centers on the night when Seger learns of Cline's passing in an aircraft crash at Houston's Esquire Ballroom.
The actress playing Seger narrates while Cline drifts in and out of the set singing some of her timeless hits, such as Crazy, Sweet Dreams, I Fall to Pieces, and Walking After Midnight. Tickets are on sale now and range from $40 to $50.
Flyer printing is a creative and inexpensive way for organizers to provide information about performances such as this.
The show will be held on Friday, January 6, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The Flagler Auditorium is at 5500 State Route 100 in Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Visit the venue’s website for more information or to purchase tickets.
