Flagler Audubon Society invites all nature lovers and bird enthusiasts to a bird walk in the city of Palm Coast, Florida.
The Palm Coast City treatment wetlands have removed a significant volume of bacteria, pollutants, and viruses from the city’s wastewater. This has improved the water quality in the area and has attracted up to 47 species of birds. The wide diversity of bird species makes Flagler County a prime birdwatching site.
The location is not open to the public, so all those who are interested will have to travel in one group. To get to the location, the group will have to walk through medium-high grass and along embankments.
Participants should wear comfortable shoes and ones they do not mind getting dirty or wet, mosquito repellent, and sunscreen. Also, they are advised to take along a pair of binoculars and a water bottle because there will be no restrooms or water fountains along the trail. Each person will be required to wear a mask.
Brochure printing is one way for event organizers to provide information on bird conservancy at events such as these.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 12, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Registered participants will meet at the L-side parking lot at the Walmart Supercenter, 174 Cypress Point Parkway in Palm Coast, Florida, 32164. Those interested can register at AllEvents.com or visit the Flagler Audubon Society website or Facebook page.
