Palm Coast hosts Independence Day celebration

Palm Coast invites residents and those from other neighborhoods to celebrate Independence Day.

Flagler Beach and Palm Coast have celebrated Independence Day with a fireworks show for many years, although the last two years have seen celebrations canceled due to Covid-19.

This year, the city of Palm Coast will hold its event this Sunday, July 3at the Flagler Executive Airport. There were discussions to hold the show on July 4, but it was not feasible and there would be safety concerns. The celebrations were originally held at the Central Park in the town center, but have been moved to ensure public safety, better traffic flow, and more parking areas.

It is a family-friendly event and will feature live performances from Feedback the Band and Chillula. The Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard will perform a special “Presentation of Colors” on the main stage. Melanie DiMartino will sing the national anthem. Fireworks by Santore will produce the fireworks show, which is expected to last for 20 minutes. There is no entry fee and there will be food and drinks on sale.
