A fundraiser 5K will be held in Palm Coast this September.
The Flagler Warriors 6th Annual Fun Run-Walk. It takes place to encourage the local community to support children battling cancer. It will also be a method to raise funds that aid in supporting local families affected by cancer treatments. The proceeds will be given to the Live Like Cameron organization. This is a local non-profit that offers Bags of Hope to child cancer patients, and financial aid to their families.
Event participants are invited to don their best costumes or wear gold in recognition of childhood cancer month. There will be prizes awarded to the person wearing the best costume. The winner will be chosen by members of the Flagler team. The races will not be chip-timed for this staging of the run. Instead, guests are welcome to run or walk the race at their own pace. T-Shirts are guaranteed for those who register online before September 10.
The cost for registration will be $30, while students under eighteen years will receive a $20 discount. Children under the age of five will enter free. Sign-up options are available through the RunSignUp website.
