Annual Caribbean festival returning to Orlando

Orlando will be holding its Carnival Downtown Parade and Festival later this month.

This annual event is a lively and colorful celebration of Orlando’s Caribbean culture. The event features a parade of reggae and calypso music, costumed performers, and a wide range of Caribbean cuisine and crafts. Poster printing is often used to promote such special events throughout a city.

The streets of downtown Orlando are set to be filled with a festive atmosphere in which participants sing, dance, and enjoy everything that is offered. The event showcases the heritage and rich diversity of the Caribbean community in Orlando, so that people can celebrate and embrace the culture.

This celebration will take place over Memorial Day weekend. Friday will be the Carnival on the Runway, where the artistry and glamour of the costumes will be featured. Saturday will be a morning of powder, paint, water, and revelry for the Carnival Jouvert, while the afternoon will feature steelpan, moko jumbies, Calypso singers, African drumming, and much more.

Sunday will be the Mas Band Parade, which will start on Church Street and end at the Tinker Field Historic Plaza for the festival village. The Band of the Year will be selected by judges in addition to the King and Queen of 2024 Orlando Carnival Downtown. There will also be the People’s Choice and the Truck of the Year winners announced.
