Treats come to Orlando fall food festival

Orlando is the host for one of the largest food festivals in the nation this fall, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival currently running for the 19th consecutive year.

Visitors heading to the park can sample a variety of dishes at the Park’s World Showcase and international marketplaces.

Making its debut is a Patagonian marketplace with foods from Argentina and Chile, including roasted Verlasso salmon. The Brazilian booth is returning to serve a specialty: Moqueca de Pescado, which is a dish of fresh tilapia with steamed rice and coconut lime sauce.

Visitors to the festival can walk around to the many kiosks and taste international foods without long airline flights and at more affordable prices, as samples run from $4 to $8 each. There are escargots (snails) from France and South African bobotie with turkey and mushrooms, for example.

There will also be international beverages to sample, including beers from Japan or wines from Germany. After the tastings, culinary demonstrations and seminars will be offered for attendees and the day ends with a concert every night at the American Gardens Theatre in the United States pavilion.

With the event running until November 10, brochure printers could help to provide more details about the foods, pavilions, and evening activities to make it easier for visitors to find the flavors in which they are most interested.
