Miami to shoot for the moon at sci-fi film festival

Next month, one of the oldest science fiction and fantasy festivals will return to Miami to capture the imaginations of sci-fi and fantasy fans as they watch films that explore the untold hypothetical worlds and realities our multiverse may hold.

The Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival (MiSciFi) celebrates the excellence of science fiction and related media, and the festival encourages attendees and exhibitors to attend from all over the world. Filmmakers from not only science fiction and fantasy genres, but also comedy and other imaginative genres will have their works highlighted, shared, and enjoyed.

The festival will feature special guests from different fields of study and artistry that will lead educational workshops, panels, and lectures for attendees to participate in. A new segment of the festival will also be introduced this year, which is the Film Market. At this new market, filmmakers will have the opportunity to meet and connect with film distributors.

Film-related festivals will often have highly visual Forms of advertising to capture the essence of the event. This form of visual advertising may drive some event organizers to seek out the services of graphic design artists that can do justice to the artistic vision.

The film festival is scheduled for January 17 to 19. It will take place at James L. Knight Center, located at 400 Southeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL.
