Residents of Lutz who are interested in learning tips and advice that they can put to use in their own garden will soon have an opportunity to do just that. A day of learning will be held in the offices of the UF/IFAS Extension for Hillsborough County.
A day has been set aside in mid-May that will be focused on gardening in a Florida-friendly way. The attendees will sit in on five presentations that cover a variety of topics, and they will all be going home better informed about how they can make the most of their own little patch.
The topics on the slate for discussion include plant selection and placement, weed identification, growing food, how to identify beneficial insects and encourage them to call their garden home, and also how to choose a landscaper for their property. In addition to all of this, they can ask questions and seek advice about their own horticultural problem.
The registration fee for this event is $10 each. At the end of the session, each learner will be going home with a gift bag filled with Promotional Products as well as a rain gauge, wattle bottle, hose nozzle, soil test, and other items.
The ‘Plants, Pollinators and Professionals’ session has been planned for May 18. It will start at 10:00 am at 5339 County Road 579. Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
