The 15th Annual Gasparilla Extravaganza is returning to the Lutz and Tampa area to offer a day of exciting entertainment, food, and music.
The Gasparilla Festival was founded in 1904 when Tampa’s economy was flourishing, and it was on the rise to becoming a prominent city. To promote the annual May Day celebration, city officials decided to draw inspiration from the Legend of Gasparilla, based upon Jose Gasparilla, an infamous Spanish pirate that tied himself to an anchor and leapt into the sea to escape the hands of the US Navy. People took to the mystique of the legend, and the pirate festival has grown to be Tampa’s signature event.
At the festival, attendees can expect live bands and nonstop entertainment from entertainers like magicians, face painters, and pirate characters. There will also be an open bar, buffet, silent auction, professional photography, and raffle items. Attendees will also have a great view of the Great Pirate Invasion, a reenactment of Gasparilla and his crew taking over Tampa.
Exciting festivals like this are often advertised on vibrant Flyers that can be printed using local flyer printing services and then handed out in the community.
The Gasparilla Festival is slated for Saturday, January 25 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. It will take place at The Westin Tampa Waterside, located at 725 South Harbour Island Boulevard.
