Contestants will soon be coming to the Lutz area from all over the world to show off their take on the traditional Cuban Sandwich.
Along with the friendly competition, there will be entertainment and other activities, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun of ‘Smackdown Sunday’.
The Cuban Sandwich Festival will pay homage to this popular dish, and more than 100 vendors from the area will be setting up shop as well. Musicians and dancers will be performing, and those who enjoy a good game of dominoes will be able to test their skills in the tournament planned as part of the occasion.
Contestants who would like to show off their culinary talents can enter their special sandwich recipe in the competition, and the chefs will be coming in from as far away as London and even South Korea. They will all have their unique version of the dish, and will be eager to see if theirs has what it takes to be named the best.
