Many events for the holiday season will be taking place in Largo.
Such events are often promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.
There are many lights and decorations around town, which include the Florida Botanical Gardens of Pinellas County and Largo Central Park. The latter location features a carousel, a seven-story Ferris wheel with views of the park, a holiday light display, and over two million LED lights. Vendors selling food and drinks will be on site. There is no admission fee to view the lights. Rides are $6 each for $20 for four. This event runs through Sunday, January 1.
The Florida Botanical Gardens features one million twinkling LED lights, lighted figures, and vibrant laser lights. There is weekly entertainment and other activities offered at the Gardens. These lights will also run through Sunday, January 1. Admission to the Gardens is free.
Largo Central Park will also be hosting the North Pole Express. Attendees will ride the miniature train through the light display at the park. The ride ends at the North Pole at the Largo Feed Store where there will be crafts, games, decorating cookies, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The North Pole Express will be taking place this Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11, leaving at various times over the weekend.
