Largo will be celebrating the month of November as Largo Small Business Month. Small businesses play an important role in the community as they energize the local economy, create jobs, and support the vibrancy of the community.
Largo Small Business Month was created by the City Commission to promote awareness of the impact which local businesses have on the quality of life in the city. As part of this initiative, the city will be highlighting local small businesses and providing an opportunity to showcase their services and their offerings. Throughout the month, selected businesses will be featured, and their success stories will be covered on the official social media channels of the city.
Any temporary events held during the month will not be charged a fee. This will enable the businesses of Largo to host various events such on-site promotional events and sidewalk sales to get ready for the holiday season. Such suspended fees can also provide an opportunity for small businesses to use such funds on Promotional Products to help raise awareness about their businesses and their products and services.
Businesses wishing to participate in the celebration of Small Business Month and be featured on the social media pages of the city need to fill out a simple form online. Forms need to be submitted by Wednesday November 1 to be considered for this special opportunity.
