Series on sustainability to held in Largo

The City of Largo will be holding its Sustainability Series at the Largo Public Library once a month in 2020.

The goal of this series is to enable professionals and residents who are interested in sustainability to meet and discuss their ability to make an impact on the community. Flyer printing is often used to provide a schedule of such series and more details about each topic covered.

The first of the series will be a workshop on solar energy for the home. The Suncoast Sierra Club and the city will partner in discussing what to expect when transitioning to solar energy and its ability to transform the community. This workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 21.

The second session will be hosted by Keep Pinellas Beautiful and #TrashTagTampaBay, and covers what these two organizations have done in terms of recycling campaigns, clean-up and zero-waste efforts, and reasons for reducing the employment of single-use plastic products. This session will be held on Tuesday, February 25.

Stormwater Program Administrator, Chris Benigni, will be presenting the session in March about stormwater pollution. Attendees will learn about their local watershed and their connection to it and how they can work to improve their impact on these waterways. This session will be held on Tuesday, March 31.

Each session is held on the last Tuesday of every month and begins at 6:30 pm.
