Park in Largo to hold monthly event

Third Saturdays at Pinewood will be coming to the Pinewood Cultural Park on Ulmerton Road in Largo, beginning this month.

Visitors will be able to experience and explore the exhibits, which change on a regular basis, and can engage in curated activities and other endeavors. Parking is free, as is entrance to the event, and food trucks will be on hand. Flyer printing is often used to promote such events and list their activities each month.

The Pinewood Cultural Park encompasses Heritage Village, the Florida Botanical Gardens, and Creative Pinellas.

Poignant stories about the pandemic of the past two years told through artifacts will be on display at Creative Pinellas. This exhibit will be open from noon until 5:00 pm and will be on display through Sunday, June 26.

There will be free activities at the Florida Botanical Gardens, including games from the TaleBlazer mobile app and self-guided scavenger hunts, as well as events led by instructors from the Growing Up Wild curriculum. This will be open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Heritage Village will feature an exhibit at the McKay Creek Boat Shop, where visitors can explore a store in a style typical of the 1900s and learn about early sailing days in the county. Hours will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Third Saturdays at Pinewood will start on Saturday, May 21.
