New city hall part of Largo project

Groundbreaking on the new Horizon West Bay project in Largo will take place later this month.

The Horizon West Bay project will be a mixed-use project with retail space, a new city hall, and a parking garage. It was determined that the current city hall on Highland Avenue can no longer be used adequately due to its lack of resistance to flooding and storms, upcoming costly repairs, and limitations for expansion. The project is located on the northern 400 block of West Bay Drive.

The goal of the project is to redevelop the West Bay Drive downtown corridor with the relocation of City Hall. This new facility is designed to promote development in the downtown area through private businesses, public spaces, and a new space for the city aligning with its strategic initiative in public safety and health, community pride, and sustainability.

Local Print shops are often called upon to create Flyers and other materials with more details about such projects and their benefits for a city.

The groundbreaking will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 20. There will also be an information session on the project at Woodrow Park on 3rd Street NW to learn more about project goals, timelines, and changes in traffic routes.

The project is expected to open its doors in 2024.
