New apartments under construction in Largo
Construction has begun on a high-quality apartment community in Largo with 96 units that will provide affordable housing for families and individuals.
To be called Seminole Square Apartments, this project will be the latest partnership between the private and public sectors supported by partners in the Advantage Pinellas Housing Compact. This is an agreement of local governments and is designed to develop long-term solutions for housing throughout the county.
Seminole Square Apartments will have apartments with one and two bedrooms for those whose income is between 30 and 80% of the median income in the area. Its location on Seminole Boulevard will provide easy access to shopping, grocery stores, transportation, and many other amenities. Charlie Justice, Commission Chairman of Pinellas County, expressed his pride in working with so many partners in the county to see that this critical need for housing is made possible. Woody Brown, mayor of Largo, added that this project is an important part of expanding access to housing for residents earning less than the median income in the area and demonstrates the commitment of the city to this objective. He thanked the private and public partners who have made this project possible.
