Largo will be hosting the Shamrock 'N Run event to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and registration is now open.
The event will include a walk of 1.5 miles. A 5K run, a fun run for kids, an after party, and an award ceremony. This event will take place at Ulmer Park. Such special events are often promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.
The award ceremony will honor the three top finishers of the 5K Race. Local food trucks, cold drinks, and live music will be featured at the after party. People who choose not to participate in the event can join in the festivities after the race.
Registration for the Kids Fun Run is $10, $25 for the 5K Race and the 1.5-mile walk, with a $20 registration fee for the latter if one preregisters. The registration fee includes a racing bib for runners of the 5K, a tee shirt, beer or water, and a ticket for a meal at one of the food trucks.
The Shamrock 'N Run will be on Saturday March 15. At 4:30 p.m. those who have pre-registered can pick up their packets and there will be registration on site as well. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 5:30 p.m. while the 5K Race and the 1.5-mile walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will be at 8:00 p.m.
