The Largo Central Railroad will be holding rides through Largo Central Park in its miniature railroad at the beginning of next month.
The rides are on a train pulled by locomotives modeled to scale on a loop that is one mile long. Among the sights are the waterfall pond, the spooky tunnel, and beautiful scenery. Printing services are often used to provide maps of such rides for the public. This is a family event for people of all ages. There is no charge for the ride, but donations are welcome to help fund the running of the trains.
The Largo Central Railroad is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers who want to share their love of trains with the community. The organization maintains accurately detailed cars, diesel-powered engines, and steam engines that work like the originals and provides a history of the railroad at the park.
The trains will run on Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8 with the line closing for the train at 3:45 p.m.
The third annual Playcon will be held at the Highland Recreation Complex in Largo at the end of next month. This event features comics, games, and celebrations of geek culture. There will be vendors with comic Books and games, artwork, Apparel, and collectibles and gaming competitions. This event will take place on Saturday March 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
