The second annual Art in the Park event is coming to Largo in November and the Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the event.
On the day, artists will have an opportunity to display their works to the community. Only original, handmade pieces will be accepted for the exhibit. The event is expected to attract local artists who will display their work, provide demonstrations, and enable attendees to engage in art of various Forms. Vendors selling handcrafted goods will also be at the event.
Events such as this one often use poster printing companies and their services to promote themselves.
Those who are interested in submitting their work need to provide three photographs showcasing their work. There is also an application fee of $10. A review committee would look over the submissions before making their final decisions on which works of art will be exhibited at the event. Submissions are due by October 1. Those who are selected will need to register. The fee is $30 per artist.
Students from Largo Middle School and Largo High School will be provided with a shared space at no charge.
Art in the Park will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 16 at the Largo Central Park. The event is free and open to the public.
