A 25th Birthday Party will be held for Largo Central Park later this month.
The day will be filled with a bike/stroller/wagon parade, food, music, games, crafts, and ending with a display of fireworks at dusk. For the kids and those who are kids at heart there will be carnival and field games and face painting, while adults can take a memory walk and enjoy the many live performances.
Entertainment will be on two stages and feature DJ Nick Potts, the Largo High School Jazz Band, the Tutterow Dancers, and Reverend Barry and The Funk. Among the special performances and activities will be an aerial acrobatics show, canines in the clouds, a history walk and scavenger hunt with the Largo Feedstore and the Largo Public Library, and character story time. The Largo Flying Club will also have demonstrations and giveaways.
A new art piece will also be unveiled at the party in the early afternoon. Surrounding the art piece will be commemorative bricks that will be available for purchase with all proceeds going towards the continued development of the park.
Sponsors of the party include State Farm Insurance, Jack Rice Insurance, Largo Medical Center, and Largo Family Restaurant. Banner printing is often used throughout a city to promote such a special celebration.
The party will be held on Saturday, April 25 from noon until 9:00 p.m.
