Largo hosts lighting festivities in botanical garden

The Holiday Lights in the Garden in Largo at the Florida Botanical Gardens are currently underway for the 18th consecutive year. This event is being hosted by the Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources and the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation.

Along the Wetlands Walkway which recently opened are expanded displays and pathways, with over one million twinkling, colorful LED lights in various sizes and shapes in hopes of attracting people from in and around the community. In the Wedding Garden there will be the Train Guys and their train display surrounding the holiday tree for this year.

There will be regular visits of Santa throughout the event as well as drinks, food and ice cream each evening. The Botanical Bounty Gift Cart will offer fun seasonal items while the Botanical Bounty Gift Shop will be offering seasonal décor and gifts. Entertainment will also be provided nightly by performers from the local area.

Holiday Lights runs through Sunday, December 31. Hours are from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. with a suggested donation of $5.00 per person over the age of 13. This is the main fundraising event of the foundation, with proceeds going to support renovations, maintenance, and staff salaries.

Flyer printing is a popular printed product for fundraising events like these.
