Largo adds new position to leadership team

Meridy Semones has been approved by the Largo City Commission for the new role of Assistant City Manager.

Such new roles often call for the need for business card printing services.

Semones brings a great deal of expertise to the position. She has over 15 years of leadership experience in Team Largo, has been the director of the Office of Performance and Budget for more than five years, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the city. She has played important roles in championing a comprehensive organizational training program, adopting a high-performance work culture, developing the first strategic plan for the city, and facilitating development of executive leadership.

A strategic shift in city management called for the decision to add an Assistant City Manager. The city recognized the need for enhanced executive relations and strategic guidance with its many complex projects coming up that include environmental conservation, transportation, and housing.

John Curp, City Manager of Largo, said this new position is important in advancing the work of the city with initiatives that will include a data management and performance program and updating the strategic plan of the city that was created in 2017. He added that her understanding of organizational development, strategic planning, and change management and proven track record make her ideal for this new position.
