The Marriott Corporation recently announced that a new hotel in Key Largo, the Playa Largo Resort & Spa, will be opening in the summer of 2015.
Most likely, Marriott is turning to flyer printing to let people who travel to the area to become aware of this new hotel, which will be part of the company’s Autograph Collection and is set to be the first resort of a full-service nature to be built in the area in two decades.
The resort will have 154 rooms, including 10 private bungalows, and sit on 14.5 acres along the waterfront. There will be a 6,000 square foot ballroom and a formal lawn designed for weddings and banquets, making the hotel an ideal destination for both business and holiday events. The designers for the project are Prime Design Associates, and the interior will be managed by the Gettys Group.
With its waterfront location, the hotel will have 745 feet of white sand beach plus two tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, watersport rentals, and a basketball court. There will be a full-service spa and salon for the adults, and a Kids Activity and Nature Learning Center for the children.
The Marina Grill will serve lunch and dinner, while the Sunset Restaurant will offer breakfast as well. The Tiki Bar will be located along the beachfront and serve primarily cocktails and beverages.
