The first drive-thru restaurant of Wawa, the popular food service and convenience store chain, will be opening in Largo.
A Development Order has been issued by the city of Largo to authorize the redevelopment of the property which was once home to a Kentucky Fried Chicken. The property is on East Bay Drive. The Development Order will enable the existing drive-thru restaurant which is vacant to be demolished and to allow the building of a new drive-thru restaurant that will span 2,036 square feet. This standalone drive-thru will enable quick access to the popular menu items which Wawa serves.
Banner printing is often used at such sites to announce the opening of such popular establishments.
This new drive-thru is expected to be popular with busy commuters and will offer a dining experience that will be convenient for customers on the go. Wawa is known for its hoagies, sandwiches which are freshly prepared, and a variety of beverages, including their signature coffee blends.
The chain was founded in Folsom, Pennsylvania in 1964 and has over 1,000 locations in many states. The chain has a strong presence in the Northeast United States and a loyal customer base. This new drive-thru is part of the chain’s efforts to expand in new markets.
An opening date will be announced once the project nears completion.
