The Bright House Super Boat National Championship and Seafood Festival, showcasing some of the fastest and largest offshore powerboats in world, will be taking place at Clearwater Beach, just a few miles from Largo.
This is the sixth year that this event is being run but local printing companies are certain to be involved in printing Flyers with more information and a schedule for the weekend.
The boats have F-16 fighter jet canopies and teams are comprised of two people - one who controls the steering of the boat and another who is responsible for the boat’s four engines, which can produce more than 6,000 horsepower. Speeds of up to 180mph can be reached, so two people are required to steer and operate the throttle.
The weekend kicks off on September 26 at the Baystar Race Village at noon and runs until 10:00 pm. There will be food and drinks available for purchase and the opportunity to meet the race teams, get autographs, and view the boats.
On September 27, there will be more opportunities to see the teams and their boats, with food and drinks again available for purchase. During the evening hours, there will be vendors and ice cream, followed by fireworks.
The race itself begins on Sunday September 27 at 11:00 am. During the weekend, attendees can enjoy trolley rides at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, as well as sailboat rides and paddle boat demos at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
