Emerging nonprofit organization makes a big splash this summer

The SummerFest for Good festival is taking place next month in Largo. It is a fundraiser for the Benevolution Foundation Grant Program.

There will be plenty of activities taking place during the afternoon that should appeal to the entire family no matter their age. There will be musical entertainment from artists such as Emily Joy and Folk University throughout the afternoon.

Several food trucks will be on hand, as well as food concessions hosted by local mobile chefs. There will also be a children’s zone called the Beach Ball Play Space. It is set to feature face painting, a balloon artist, and an 18-foot long water slide.

Local vendors will also be selling a number of arts and crafts as well as general merchandise. Sponsorships are also available for local businesses and individuals. There will also be a raffle with over 50 prizes, and tickets are $10.50 for five.

The Benevolution Foundation Grant Programs is a new organization that is dedicated to funding local nonprofit organizations and to encourage volunteering in the community.

Largo Print shops are often asked to provide signage and advertising for such events.

The SummerFest for Good festival will be held at The Plaza at the Palms of Largo on July 7 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. To become a sponsor or to learn more about the festival, contact the Benevolution Foundation at 727-518-4659.
