The Largo Police Department (LPD) will be celebrating its 100th anniversary next month with a special event.
The LPD is inviting residents and community partners of Largo to a community celebration. The celebration will invite all in the Largo community for a day filled with entertainment, educational activities, and fun for everyone.
Such special milestones and celebrations are often promoted throughout a community through poster printing methods which help to spread the word around town.
There will be informative tours highlighting important achievements and milestones of the department over the past 100 years. Attendees at the celebration will view the department’s state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the mobile command center and the K-9 unit. Attendess will be able to learn how these elements are essential to ensuring the security and safety of the city.
One of the goals of the celebration is to foster connections within the community. Attendees will learn more about the community services offered by the LPD, as well as the neighborhood watch programs, crime prevention measures, and other services which focus on well-being and safety. Everyone will be able to interact with the officers and learn more about their dedication to the community. There will also be face painting stations and bounce houses for kids.
