Award-winning band to perform in Largo

The Central Park Performing Arts Center (CPPAC) in Largo will be presenting the Rebirth Brass Band next month.

The Rebirth Brass Band is a Grammy Award winning band that offers rich music and a fiery show. Their music pays tribute to the brass band tradition of New Orleans with a combination of elements of rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, and funk along with sounds of the streets on which they grew up. The band has performed for over 25 years on Tuesday nights at the Maple Leaf, as well as all around the world. Poster printing often provides advertising and promotion for such exciting events as this one.

Rebirth was founded over 35 years ago by Keith and Phil Frazier and began playing in the French Quarter in New Orleans. They soon found themselves playing at second line parades and have drawn fans from all around the globe, even including royalty and heads of state. Artists of all genres have become admirers of their soundtrack of New Orleans. Their onstage collaborators have included James Brown, the Grateful Dead, Quincy Jones, and the Neville Brothers.

The CPPAC features a 200-person grand ballroom and a theater with 443 seats. The band will be performing on Friday, June 18 at 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at the CPPAC.
