The 2nd Annual Jacksonville Barkfest and the Jacksonville Southern Creatives Market are both on the schedule for mid-September.
At Barkfest, people and paws will come together to support local Dog Rescues and organizations. Dogs can be adopted on site and many vendors will be selling pet-related items. DJ Dabbs will be emceeing for the multiple performances, one of which will be a Dog Trick Showcase that will be on the Main Stage from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
This year's Nonprofit Spotlight will be I See You NICU, an organization supporting Northeast Florida families as they navigate through the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.
The Jacksonville Southern Creatives Market will be taking place simultaneously at the same location. More than 40 crafters, artisans and other local creators will be showcasing and selling handmade goods such as artwork, clothing, jewelry, and home decor.
Many artisans and crafters that sell at events such as this bring plenty of Business Cards and use the events as networking opportunities.
Those who get the free ticket reminders online before the events will get their names entered into a raffle to win $25 in market bucks to spend at the event.
The two events will take place on Sunday, September 14 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm under the bridge at Northbank Riverwalk Artist Square, 725 Riverside Avenue.
