This fall, Jacksonville folks may come out and support women's sports as Jersey Mike’s will be sponsoring its 5th Super Girl Surf Festival in early November.
The event will feature over two thousand female athletes competing in 12 different sports, including an inline skating competition, beach volleyball, lacrosse and soccer matches and flag football games.
Organizers of the event are also building a festival village which will host among other activities, fitness classes, exhibits by female artists and introductions to mentoring programs for girls. The organizers are also looking for people who would like to volunteer across a host of activities.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend 14 live music concerts featuring female bands--headliners include: Julia Cole, The Band Perry, HIRIE and Plain White Ts. This year, the event will also feature for the first time women's basketball along with cheer and dance showcases. People of all ages are welcome to attend free of charge, though there will also be VIP passes for those willing to pay for better access to the action.
In order to support causes such as women's athletics, some enthusiasts occasionally get some poster printing done for events like this and place the Posters in their workplaces and around their neighborhoods.
This year, the festival will be held the weekend of November 8 and 9 at Jacksonville Beach.
