Many people would like to be able to have fresh herbs to use in their kitchen, and a Washington workshop is ready to help them get growing.
Washington’s U.S. Botanic Garden is set to host an online learning session that will introduce home horticulturalists to the art of herb growing, and it may be helpful to anyone, whether they have a big garden or just a container on their balcony or windowsill. It will cover the process for planting or harvesting, and there will even be some recipes shared.
Horticulturist Pegy Riccio will be sharing her expertise and she will offer tips on how to choose which herbs will be a good fit for a grower’s experience level, time, and space. Many of them will be easy to cultivate. Plant care will be addressed, and the workshop will take place using the Livestorm platform.
While there is no cost to be included in the event, pre-registration is required. A flyer printing company can be counted on to craft materials that help to spread the word about this sort of activity to households in the local community.
This one-hour online workshop will be on offered on March 19, and it will begin at 12:00 pm. It will run for one hour, and anyone who would like to sign up can complete the registration process by following the link provided on its Facebook listing.
