All Washington gardeners looking forward to spring may want save the date for an event that will help them fill their beds while benefiting a local cause.
The Washington Park Arboretum’s annual Spring Plant Sale helps the venue to kick off the season, giving gardeners an opportunity to purchase a variety of plants with a local provenance. Both parking and admission will be free of charge, and the entry point will be located in the Graham Visitors Center.
The shoppers at the event will find everything from trees and shrubs to perennials, and it will be led by volunteers. Along with the plants, visitors will be able to find a variety of gardening and landscaping tools, as well as packets of seed from Hudson Valley Seed Company. The popular pinecone windchimes will be back. Taxes will not be applied to any plant purchases, and participants are asked to only select those that have a red or blue tag.
