Washington’s pampered pooches will be taking pride of place in an event that will raise funds for a local animal rescue, rehoming and advocacy organization.
The city will soon see the 38th annual Bark Ball hosted at the Washington Hilton, and it's billed as being the city’s premier black tie gala style affair that supports the Humane Rescue Alliance. At the time this was written, passes were still available, and while dogs may attend, they must be leashed and under their owner’s control.
The gala will bring together animal lovers along with advocates, and the host organization will provide details about its work and how the support of the guests will make a difference. The menu will be filled with gourmet vegan dishes, and cocktails will be poured. Entertainment, including live auction, is not the agenda, and individual tickets are $500.00 each. A discount is available for young professionals, and “table for 8” bookings may also be on offer. The suggested dress is black tie, but cocktail attire is welcome as well.
During the auction portion of the evening, the guests will have the opportunity to be part of the excitement of a live auction, and experiences, donated Corporate Gifts and other items will be on the block for bidding.
The 38th annual Bark Ball will be showing some love to animals in need on September 27th. The doors will open at 5:30 pm.
