Each year, Washington is treated to the spectacle of dozens of brightly lit boats cruising their way along to help kick off the holiday season, and 2023 will be no exception.
In early December, boat owners will be decking out their vessels in brightly colored lights and other decor for the annual District Holiday Boat Parade. It has become a well-loved local tradition, and the fun will be taking place at District Pier.
Along with the light parade, people who come out will be offered an opportunity to enjoy other fun as well. Recreation Pier will offer face painting and ornament decorating, and Camp Wharf will feature a fire pit and s’mores. The Wharf Ice will boast a 45-foot holiday tree as well as skating, and a beer garden and a variety of fun Santa photo ops will round out the festivities.
While the winter holidays may be well in the future, many businesses are already preparing by choosing some festive decor. A banner printing company will be able to craft a variety of decorations, and these may all be personalized with any graphic design desired.
The District's Holiday Boat Parade will be setting sail for fun on December 2. It will cruise by District Pier starting at 6:00 pm, and all ages are welcome to drop by and join the festive fun.
