Washington pet parents offered photo opportunity

Washington’s Congressional Cemetery offers a place of peace in the heart of the city, and local pet parents will soon be taking their pooches to the site for a special fundraising activity.

The location will provide a spooky backdrop for some fun pet photos, and owners are encouraged to bring Fido along in costume for the occasion. The photo shoot has been planned by Just Walk Pet care, and Congressional Cemetery K9 Corps have also lent its support to the occasion.

This pop-up portrait session will be held for one day only, and sittings can be booked from the late morning into the afternoon. They can include just the dog or the whole family, and there will be an assortment of spooky backgrounds to choose from. The venue will remain open to the public during the activity, but those who are interested in taking advantage of the initiative will need to book their sitting time in advance.

A pop-up pet portrait session can be a fun idea for an out-of-the-box fundraiser, and Print shops will be able to aid in ensuring they are a success. They can use wide format printing methods to prepare a variety of backdrops, and can even design from scratch if needed.

This day of pet portraits in the park is scheduled for October 30, and the first sitting will take place at 11:00 am. The fee is $30 each.
