Washington foodies and those who just love a great party are on the guestlist for a local celebration that will bring a festive kick-off to the city’s summer season.
The 33rd annual Giant BBQ Battle will see grillers throw down in a friendly competition, in what is set to be its biggest event yet. At least 100 sampling stations will be on offer, and with music, dancing, and other fun, it promises to be a high-energy and immersive experience.
The plans for the occasion include a Monster Energy Dance Zone as well the Giant Corks to Caps 21+ Oasis, which will be for the adults in the crowd. The Pepsi Art to Go-Go tent may appeal to those with an artistic bent, while the main attraction for many will be the BBQ competitions manned by seasoned grill masters. Four entertainment stages are in the works, and a hot dog eating contest is on the agenda as well. Service animals are welcome provided they have suitable documentation.
Pop-up events are a common sight during the summer months. Booth decor, price lists, order Forms, Letterheads, and other custom materials for a company involved in one can be ordered from a local Print shop.
This BBQ battle is scheduled for Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Tickets can be purchased through its Eventbrite listing.
