Washington neighborhood plans day of summer fun

The Washington D.C. neighborhood of Emery Heights has planned a day that will celebrate what makes it a great place to call home, and this special event will be open to all.

Emery Heights Community Day will bring friends and neighbors together in a relaxed setting, and having fun will be the order of the day. Everyone is encouraged to bring along some folding chairs as well as a sunshade so they can sit back, relax and enjoy the festivities in comfort.

The organizers have put together a line-up of entertainment for the day and its listing explained that it will be family friendly. Many of the performers will be from the Washington area, making it a chance for the public to discover local talent. A live radio broadcast will take place, and admission is free. Donations of funding or gifts in kind such as food or beverages will be most welcome, and will help to make the occasion even better.

When choosing decor for an activity, many planners turn to local Print shops for assistance. Their banner printing and other services can help to make a function feel complete.

Friends of Emery will be presenting this community event on August 13. It will begin at 12:00 pm at the Emery Heights Community Center, which can be found at 5701 Georgia Avenue Northwest.
