Washington festival to offer plenty of high-flying fun

Kite season is just around the corner for Washington, and an event that is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival will see both simple and elaborate kites take to the sky.

This will be the eighth year in which the Blossom kite Festival has graced the skies over the grounds of the Washington Monument, and it tends to be a very popular activity. Countries from all over the globe will be represented, and the skills of both kite makers and Flyers will be on display.

The plans for the festival include an assortment of demonstrations, and there will also be high flying competitions such as the Hot Tricks Showdown and Rokkaku battles. The Public Field will be open for the enjoyment of everyone, and with both kite-making stations and pre-made kites available for purchase, everyone will be able to enjoy putting their flying skills to the test.

Admission to the Blossom Kite Festival is free of charge, and everyone is welcome. It will be organized in the space between Constitution Avenue and 17th Street, and a banner printing company can prepare a huge banner to welcome one and all to this sort of activity.

This kick off to another kite-flying season has been scheduled for March 28. It will begin at 10:00 am, and the fun will keep on going until the celebration wraps up at 4:30 pm.
