Washington event to tempt craft beer fans

Washington beer lovers are invited to belly up to the bar during an event that will showcase the skills and creativity of small batch brewers.

(D)rafts and (C)rafts will give area artisan brewers and other small batch beer makers a venue where they can showcase their products to the world. They will be coming in across the state as well as further afield, and the function will take place at The Square, which is a newly installed food service hall in DC’s downtown core.

Ticketholders for the activity will be able to expand their palates by sampling a wide selection of beers, ales, stouts and other libations. While they sip, they can browse through the handmade items in the pop-up market. A crafting station will be set up so they can get creative, and VIP, general admission, and entry-only ticket options are available.

Along with unlimited samples and entry to the event, those who choose the VIP pass will receive a DC Brewers' Guild koozie, as well as a special tasting glass printed with a unique graphic design prepared for the occasion. The entry-only ticket represents an option for the designated drivers in the crowd.

This showcase of small batch brewing talent will be held on Saturday, July 22. It will be taking place at 1850 K Street Northwest.
