A hand-crafted clay pot provides an attractive way to display houseplants, and Washington residents who sign up for an upcoming workshop will be able to try their hand at making one for themselves.
The three-hour Create Perfect Planters event is being offered by the District Clay Center, and it will be facilitated by Jenny Beech. The group will craft a medium-sized planter along with an attached base, and the students will be walked through the project step by step.
As the attendees work on their pieces, the instructor will offer them tips and advice, and there will be a demonstration of using a pottery wheel. The leaders will have a chance to use this equipment as well, and they will each go home with a planter they can choose to keep or give as a holiday gift. Proof of Covid vaccination is required to participate.
An activity like this offers a gentle introduction to a hobby, and it can be marketed to the local area using materials supplied by a printing services company. Printers will also be able to offer custom business Stationery such as liability waivers and registration Forms.
The District Clay Center has made plans to host this activity on November 21. Anyone who would like to register is advised to visit its online listing for more details about the workshop.
