A Washington historic site will soon be providing space for an activity that will offer girls in the Brownies program a way to get up close and personal with nature.
Tudor Place will be the venue for a day of fun and learning, and the girls who participate will meet the requirements for their Brownie Outdoor Adventure and Brownie Bugs badges. Both individuals and troops are welcome to attend the one-and-a-half-hour session.
The kids will be invited to learn how to identify a variety of bugs, birds, and other wildlife, and they will discover the role these play in the natural world. They will be able to brush up on their knot tying, and when they head for home, each girl will take home a seed they have planted to grow in their own garden or balcony container. The participation fee for the morning is $10 each.
When it comes to nature, kids are often eager to learn, and hands-on activities can help them to do so. A venue will be able to order Promotional Products to give to each child who participates in a particular function.
This morning of outdoor fun for Brownies will be on offer on May 14. It will begin at 10:00, and the venue is located at 1644 31st Street NW in Washington.
