Washington gardeners who have been eagerly awaiting spring’s arrival will find lots to catch their interest at a sale on offer at the height of the planting season.
The team at Green Spring Gardens and Horticultural Center has set the date for its Spring Garden Day and Big Plant Sale. They will both take place in mid-May and is billed as a “must attend.”
The market will be open to the public with free admission, and there will be a wide assortment of horticultural vendors on site. Species and cultivars on show will range from common to rare, with options for almost every gardening skill level. Native and fruit and food plants will be in the mix, and there will be Master Gardeners on hand to offer advice and tips.
Along with the plant sales area, the function will provide the sweet tooths in the crowd with a chance to treat themselves in the bake sale. There will also be handmade art and an assortment of food vendors.
A horticultural market can be a fun way for the public to purchase their spring garden additions, and plant tags, Signs, care sheets and other materials for an event can be ordered from Print shops.
This year’s Spring Garden Day and Big Plant Sale will be on offer at Green Spring Gardens on Saturday, May 17. It will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
