A fundraising 5K road race is getting ready to welcome participants to Plainville this summer, allowing participants to enjoy outdoor fun for a good cause.
The 19th Annual Petit Family Foundation 5K Road Race & Fitness Walk has opened online enrollment to interested individuals in and around town, bringing the community together for fitness and camaraderie. Participants are welcome to walk, jog, or run the course. Each person who Signs up will support the Petit Family Foundation’s mission, which follows the ideals of family members like Hayley Elizabeth Petit and Michaela Rose Petit.
The core tenets of the group’s ideals are idealism, activism, and kindness. The 5K will be joined by a children’s fun run, which is open to children aged eight and under. Promotional Products like commemorative T-Shirts can be an excellent way to reward each person who crosses the finish line while also providing impressions for the event and its sponsors.
The money from the 5K will support education for young people in Plainville with a heavy focus on women in science. It will also help to protect community members affected by violence and improve the lives of individuals affected by chronic illness.
The 5K is scheduled for Sunday, July 12 starting at 7:00 AM. Registration is open online for $30 per person. The first person to register will win a special prize.
